It seems as of late my body has been screaming at me. I'm 34 weeks pregnant and I'm 34 years old. That is not old but I FEEL it. My back is killing me, sciatic is acting up, bruises on my hips from running into things, cramping in my calves, indigestion, and way too strong BH contractions for my liking. Whew. So it seemed a project that provided some relief was in order. What I could really go for is a fabulous massage and pedi but I'll settle for a nice hot/cold pack on my aching back.
My sister received the book, One Yard Wonders, for Christmas last year and it is full of all kinds of great projects that you can do with one yard of fabric. I love it because I have tons of one yard pieces and these quick projects bring such a fun sense of accomplishment from a quick raid of my stash.
As you can see it has an envelope like opening that the pack slides into.
The pack is filled with flax seeds and you can microwave it on high for 1 to 3 minutes for a hot pack or put it in the freezer for at least an hour for a cold pack. The long straps are plenty long, 40" each. So there's no problem wrapping it around and tying it up, even around my prego belly. These would make great gifts and I'm considering even making some for my shop. What do you think? Should I?
I love this! I am glad you mentioned what book it's from because I've been looking at that book for awhile but haven't bit the bullet to buy. I really like how the part that you heat and cool is removable!
